Confectioners challenge themselves interpretating femininity

 À la Folie is a competition that involves the toughest critics: the confectioners

From September, professionals from Milano, Brianza and Torino will have the opportunity to participate in a competition dedicated to the expression of femininity in pastry. Everyone who signs up on www.alafolie.it will be asked to interpret a feminine motive by creating a novel recipe using Délifrance tartelette.

The different facets of femininity will have to be carried out according to the inspirational principles of four different artistic movements: in September the theme of elegance will be inspired by Puntinism; in October hidden femininity will express itself using Cubistic style, while in November, Passion, will be expressed by using Futurism. The last theme, for December, will be dedicated to provocation, that will be interpreted through Surrealism.

Every month, participants will have to upload their own photo and recipe: the top three will be awarded with a gift certificate of 2,000 euros, worth to buy Selmi or Pavoni products, during the final challenge scheduled for Wednesday, February 15 in an exclusive location in Milan. During the event, the final winner, nominated by a technical jury and the vote of all the co-workers who have participated in the competition and who would have vote on www.alafolie.it, will be announced. The first prize will be a gift certificate of 10,000 euros to be used to buy Irinox, Pavoni or Selmi products.

Among those who sent their recipe, 25 confectioners will be drawn out every month to have the opportunity to attend an exclusive bakery course with Maestro pastry chef Gino Fabbri.
